Serving the Community is in our Blood

Washington DECA’s 2023-2024 State Community Service Challenge is brought to you in partnership with

Join the race to save lives

Your chapter is invited to participate in the statewide community service campaign challenge!

Host either a blood OR monetary drive AND utilize your chapter’s social media to raise awareness about Bloodworks Northwest and Vitalant. It’s that easy!

With each dollar raised, pint of blood donated, virtual blood donor secured and social media post published, your chapter will earn points and move up the Race to Save Lives Leaderboard!

Chapters can participate in this challenge from September 25, 2023 thru May 1, 2024.

Why Should We Participate?

Your gift of blood, time or money saves lives.
Because of you, life doesn’t stop.

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. This could be a little girl in the ICU or a mother with Stage 3 leukemia. The entire process is very safe and very fast, and you will feel amazing knowing you potentially saved up to three people.

DECA prepares the next generation to be Community Oriented.

As DECA members, we recognize the benefit of service and responsibility to the community, and we are continually impacting and improving our local and broader communities.

And The Best Impact Goes To…

Chapters are encouraged to get involved with this partnership, in which their efforts will put them in the running for prizes! The top three chapters earning the most points will be awarded.
