Education has always been the forefront of DECA’s mission, but not every child in Washington has access to similar opportunities. This year, Washington DECA is partnering with organizations across the state to help offset the social, emotional and academic challenges youth face while in the foster system.

These partnerships will give students the opportunities to apply their business and leadership skills. At the same time, foster youth across the state will feel more valued and supported, empowering them to achieve long-term success in education and life.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation began with one small stand and one big dream.

At just four years old, Alexandra “Alex” Scott set up her first lemonade stand to help doctors find a cure for children with cancer—like herself. Her inspiring mission grew into a nationwide movement, raising more than $250 million to fund research, support families, and bring hope to countless kids.
