Dress for Success

Founded by Team Infinity in 2024, the Dress for Success Scholarship aims to alleviate financial barriers for members and chapters from under-resourced backgrounds by expanding access to professional attire. Scholarships will be awarded in 2 distinct opportunities: one for SCDC attendees and one for ICDC attendees.

Applicants are permitted to only be the recipient of one scholarship. Members will not be awarded both SCDC and ICDC Dress for Success scholarships.

RECIPIENT PROCESS

Winning recipients will be announced 1 week after the application deadline.

The scholarship amount covers the purchase of professional attire for ONE conference. Scholarship recipients will be awarded as follows:

  • SCDC Dress for Success Scholarship: $100 Visa Gift Card
  • ICDC Dress for Success Scholarship: $90 ShopDECA Gift Card (Blazer Purchase) + $60 Visa Gift Card

Scholarship money will be awarded in the form of gift cards, once (1) the student has submitted a Thank You Letter of appreciation to the Washington DECA HQ office, and (2) registration has been paid for the respective conference. Once this criterion has been met, gift cards will be mailed directly to the student’s chapter.
