MDA x DECA
Let’s Get Cause Raising
Use the form here to contact MDA and receive a login for a fundraising website for online and cash/check donations. This is where you can see your progress, set goals, share the page, etc.
Individual students can join the team (chapter page) as team members and have their own links. The links will roll into the chapter’s main page, but allow students to see what amount they have personally raised for the cause!
Fundraising is done DIY style, so anything goes! The most popular events include selling pinups (see below), miracle minutes, 5k walks/runs, sports tournaments, bingo/trivia nights, carnivals, bake sales, candy grams, car washes, or garage sales!
PINUP KITS
You can order a pinup kit for free from MDA! A kit will be sent with pinups, posters, and all materials needed to promote and sell. Pinups are double-sided: $1 and $5.
They can be sold at school-based enterprises, games, or added to any fundraising event!
Disability is Diversity Challenge
Check out the DECA challenge! Learn first-hand about the barriers encountered by a student with a disability and create a four-minute video presentation. You can work alone or in groups of up to four DECA members to document your experiences and present an advocacy plan!
ICDC OPPORTUNITIES
- Top 3 fundraising chapters get on-stage recognition at ICDC
- Top 3 DECA challenge (Disability is Diversity) team winners get on-stage recognition at ICDC
- Top 10 chapters and top 3 challenge winners are invited to an MDA luncheon at ICDC
